Point Muay Thai Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Point Muay Thai website, mobile application, fighter database, rankings system, event-management tools, and related services collectively referred to as the “PMT Services.”

By accessing or using the PMT Services, creating or activating an account, participating in a PMT-sanctioned event, or using PMT competition-management tools, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use credentialed portions of the PMT Services.

1. About Point Muay Thai

Point Muay Thai (“PMT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a combat-sports sanctioning, competition, rankings, and records platform supporting Point Muay Thai and related sanctioned competition.

The PMT Services may include:

  • Event listings and registration information

  • Fighter profiles and identification

  • Official competition records

  • Rankings and classifications

  • Bout and tournament results

  • Weigh-in information

  • Event rosters and matchmaking

  • Promoter tools

  • Referee and judge assignments

  • Official scorecards and bout information

  • Fighter identification credentials

  • Historical event archives

  • Other competition-management services

Some portions of the PMT Services are publicly accessible, while others are restricted to authorized fighters, coaches, promoters, officials, administrators, or other credentialed users.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Public portions of the PMT Services may generally be viewed without an account.

Access to certain features may require an account issued, approved, or activated by PMT.

Accounts may be provided to individuals including:

  • Fighters

  • Coaches

  • Gym representatives

  • Promoters

  • Referees

  • Judges

  • Inspectors

  • Event staff

  • Sanctioning personnel

  • Other authorized participants

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

You may not impersonate another person, access another person's account without authorization, falsify your identity, or intentionally submit false competition information.

PMT may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security, or operation of the PMT Services.

3. Minors

Combat-sports participants under the age of majority may appear in PMT event listings, rankings, bout records, or fighter profiles where permitted by applicable law and event rules.

Where parental or legal guardian authorization is required for participation, registration, account activation, publicity, or other activities, the appropriate parent or legal guardian must provide that authorization.

Nothing in these Terms replaces any parental consent, athletic commission requirement, event waiver, medical clearance, or other authorization required for a minor to compete.

4. Official Competition Records

PMT maintains records relating to sanctioned athletic competition.

These records may include a participant's:

  • Name

  • Fighter identification number

  • Gym or team affiliation

  • Weight division

  • Age or competition division

  • Competition class

  • Bout history

  • Opponents

  • Wins, losses, draws, or other results

  • Event participation

  • Championships or rankings

  • Official decisions

  • Suspensions or eligibility information where appropriate

  • Other information reasonably necessary to document sanctioned competition

When a participant competes in a PMT-sanctioned or PMT-recorded event, the resulting competition information may become part of PMT's historical athletic record.

Competition Records Are Distinct From User Accounts

A fighter's user account and the fighter's official competition record are separate.

Closing, disabling, or deleting login access to an account does not automatically erase legitimate historical records showing that a sanctioned competition occurred.

For example, if Fighter A competed against Fighter B, removing Fighter A's bout from the historical database could also make Fighter B's record, event results, rankings, tournament history, and statistical records inaccurate.

Accordingly, PMT may preserve legitimate historical competition records after an account is closed when preservation is reasonably necessary to:

  • Maintain accurate athletic records

  • Preserve event history

  • Maintain opponent records

  • Calculate rankings and statistics

  • Document championships and tournament results

  • Prevent fraud or record manipulation

  • Resolve disputes

  • Meet legal, regulatory, insurance, sanctioning, or recordkeeping requirements

  • Protect the integrity of PMT competition

Such records will be maintained subject to applicable law.

5. Record Corrections and Disputes

PMT intends for its official competition records to accurately reflect events that occurred.

Participants may request correction of information they believe is factually inaccurate.

Examples include:

  • Misspelled names

  • Incorrect opponent

  • Incorrect win/loss result

  • Duplicate fighter profiles

  • Incorrect weight division

  • Incorrect gym affiliation

  • Incorrect event assignment

  • Other factual recording errors

PMT may require reasonable documentation before changing an official record, including event results, scorecards, identification records, promoter confirmation, video, athletic commission records, or other reliable evidence.

A correction request does not guarantee that PMT will change a record.

PMT generally will not alter an accurately recorded historical result merely because a participant no longer wants the result publicly associated with them, except where required by applicable law or PMT determines that another compelling reason warrants modification.

6. Rankings

PMT rankings may be calculated using competition activity, results, opponent information, division, experience, event participation, ranking formulas, administrative review, or other criteria established by PMT.

Rankings are provided for sporting, informational, and matchmaking purposes.

PMT may revise its ranking methodology at any time and may correct rankings when underlying information is inaccurate.

Placement in a ranking does not guarantee:

  • A bout

  • Championship eligibility

  • A particular opponent

  • Event acceptance

  • Sponsorship

  • Compensation

  • Professional status

  • Selection for any particular competition

Final competition and eligibility decisions remain subject to PMT rules and applicable event or regulatory requirements.

7. Promoter Responsibilities

Promoters and authorized event administrators who enter or manage information through PMT are responsible for making reasonable efforts to ensure the information they submit is accurate.

This may include:

  • Fighter information

  • Event information

  • Matchups

  • Weights

  • Bout assignments

  • Results

  • Officials

  • Schedule information

  • Medical or eligibility status where applicable

Promoters may not knowingly falsify records, manipulate rankings, create fraudulent participants, alter legitimate results, or use PMT systems to misrepresent an event.

PMT may investigate suspected inaccuracies and may correct or restrict information when reasonably necessary to protect the integrity of its records.

8. Officials

Referees, judges, inspectors, and other officials may receive assignments or access event information through the PMT Services.

Use of PMT's technology does not replace the official's independent responsibility to comply with:

  • PMT rules

  • Applicable commission or regulatory rules

  • Event procedures

  • Required training or licensing

  • Safety standards

  • Professional duties

PMT may maintain historical records of official assignments and participation.

9. Combat Sports Risk

Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, and related combat sports involve inherent risks of physical injury.

The PMT Services are primarily administrative, informational, recordkeeping, and competition-management tools.

Use of the PMT Services does not make participation in combat sports safe or eliminate the risks associated with training or competition.

Participation in any event may be subject to separate:

  • Participant agreements

  • Liability waivers

  • Medical requirements

  • Rules and regulations

  • Athletic commission requirements

  • Insurance conditions

  • Promoter agreements

Those documents remain separate from these Terms.

10. No Medical Advice

Information appearing through the PMT Services is not medical advice.

Nothing provided through PMT should be interpreted as a medical diagnosis, medical clearance, treatment recommendation, or determination that a fighter is medically fit to train or compete.

Participants should obtain appropriate medical advice and clearance from qualified healthcare professionals when necessary.

In an emergency, contact appropriate emergency medical services.

11. No Legal, Financial, or Training Advice

Information made available through the PMT Services is provided for competition-management and informational purposes.

PMT does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or individualized athletic training advice through the PMT Services unless expressly stated otherwise.

12. Event Participation

Listing an event on the PMT Services does not guarantee that an event will occur exactly as originally announced.

Events may experience changes involving:

  • Date

  • Time

  • Venue

  • Matchups

  • Fighter availability

  • Divisions

  • Officials

  • Rules

  • Schedule

  • Sanctioning status

PMT and participating promoters may make reasonable changes when circumstances require them.

Separate event registration, cancellation, transfer, and refund policies may apply.

13. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the PMT Services to:

  • Submit knowingly false information

  • Falsify athletic records

  • Manipulate rankings

  • Impersonate another person

  • Create fraudulent fighter identities

  • Gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems

  • Scrape or systematically extract protected portions of the database without authorization

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services

  • Upload malicious code

  • Circumvent access controls

  • Harass other users through PMT systems

  • Use PMT trademarks without authorization

  • Copy or commercially reproduce protected PMT software, designs, photographs, written content, or proprietary database compilations without authorization

  • Use PMT information for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purposes

PMT may investigate suspected misuse and restrict access where appropriate.

14. Intellectual Property

The PMT name, logos, trademarks, software, application design, graphics, written materials, ranking systems, database structure and compilation, event-management tools, and other original PMT content may be protected by copyright, trademark, database, contract, or other applicable intellectual property laws.

Individual names, bout outcomes, dates, scores, and other factual information may constitute factual information. Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim copyright ownership over facts where such ownership does not exist under applicable law.

However, these Terms do not grant third parties permission to copy, reproduce, scrape, republish, commercially exploit, or create unauthorized competing databases from protected portions or compilations of the PMT Services.

“Point Muay Thai,” PMT branding, logos, event marks, and related trademarks may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests authorization, affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by PMT.

15. Photos, Video, and Event Media

PMT events may be photographed, filmed, streamed, or otherwise documented.

Separate event registrations, participant agreements, media releases, venue policies, or promoter agreements may govern the use of a participant's name, image, likeness, voice, photographs, or video.

Nothing in these Terms overrides rights provided by applicable law.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

The PMT Services may contain links to or integrate with third-party services, including payment providers, ticketing systems, maps, social media platforms, registration systems, or other external services.

PMT does not control every third-party service and is not responsible for the availability, policies, security, or content of independent third-party platforms.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

17. Service Availability

PMT attempts to maintain reliable and accurate services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance

  • Hosting failures

  • Internet outages

  • Software errors

  • Third-party service failures

  • Cybersecurity events

  • Events outside PMT's reasonable control

PMT may modify, suspend, or discontinue individual features when reasonably necessary.

18. Accuracy of Information

PMT makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate records but cannot guarantee that every piece of information entered by promoters, officials, fighters, third parties, automated systems, or administrators will always be error-free.

If you identify an apparent error in an official competition record, please contact PMT and provide enough information for us to investigate the issue.

19. Privacy

PMT's collection and use of personal information is governed by its separate Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Where applicable law provides rights relating to access, correction, deletion, or other treatment of personal information, those rights are not waived by these Terms.

Some information may nevertheless be retained where retention is permitted or required by applicable law, including legitimate recordkeeping, security, dispute-resolution, legal, regulatory, and competition-integrity purposes.

20. Account Closure

A credentialed user may request closure or deletion of their user account by contacting PMT or using any account-deletion functionality provided within the PMT Services.

Account closure may remove or disable:

  • Login credentials

  • Account settings

  • Nonessential private profile information

  • Other information that PMT is not required or permitted to retain

Account closure does not necessarily require deletion of legitimate historical competition records associated with sanctioned events, subject to applicable law.

Where feasible, PMT may also restrict or minimize information that is no longer necessary while preserving the integrity of historical athletic records.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the PMT Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

PMT does not guarantee that:

  • The Services will always be available

  • Every record will always be error-free

  • Rankings will remain unchanged

  • Every scheduled event will occur

  • Every participant will receive a matchup

  • Third-party services will remain available

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PMT and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, sanctioning personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use the PMT Services.

This includes damages arising from service interruption, lost data, inaccurate third-party submissions, ranking changes, or reliance on informational content, except where liability cannot legally be limited.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

23. Enforcement and Suspension

PMT may suspend or restrict access to credentialed Services when it reasonably believes a user has:

  • Violated these Terms

  • Compromised system security

  • Submitted fraudulent information

  • Manipulated competition records

  • Misused another person's account

  • Interfered with a sanctioned event

  • Engaged in conduct threatening the integrity of PMT's competition systems

PMT may preserve relevant records when reasonably necessary to investigate a violation or resolve a dispute.

24. Changes to These Terms

PMT may update these Terms from time to time.

When material changes are made, PMT may provide notice through the website, application, account interface, email, or another reasonable method.

The updated Terms will identify their effective or last-updated date.

Where affirmative consent is required by applicable law or the nature of the change, PMT may require users to accept the revised Terms before continuing to use credentialed features.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or the PMT Services shall be handled in an appropriate court with jurisdiction under applicable law, unless the parties have entered into a separate written agreement governing the dispute.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

27. No Waiver

PMT's failure to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms govern use of the PMT Services but do not replace separate agreements applicable to particular events, promoters, competitors, officials, purchases, registrations, waivers, or other activities.

If a separate written agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms regarding a specific transaction or event, the more specific agreement will control for that subject matter.
